So last Thursday I got changed and did 3.1 miles at lunch. Worked out fine really. I showered and ate lunch at my desk. So there are 2 benefits to the activity. One I get to exercise and two I don’t go into the temptation zone of the canteen where chips call my name. Friday I repeated the same route and I was glad as for the weekend I did nothing as I was minding Ronan who had a cough and cold so didn’t go outside the house.
This Monday lunchtime I bit the bullet again and despie being a bit tired (that wine lat night didn’t help) I pushed 3.1 miles again into the log book. In the pat I would have skipped the run and made excuses for not doing it so it is a bit of a mini milestone for me to have done this. My thigh is tight now as I type this but the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages (which don’t exist at all). I get a great endoprhin kick in the afternoon as well which keeps me going till home time.
The challenge for this week is to go out tomorrow, Wed and run with Leonard on Thursday. Rest day on Friday for sure though and maybe try and run a longer run Sunday.
