Ireland a Country of Contrasts

I am just back from the St Patrick’s Day parade in Killarney, Kerry and a wonderful weekend in Kerry overall (one of my favourite places in the world).

On the drive home over the Kerry – Cork county border the parade reminded of what a country of contrasts we are where on one front we can have fabulously entertaining parades around the country where people take a few hours out of their lives to don the green and laugh at themselves while our supposed ‘finance’ minister speaks about our recession being the worst in the world.  Thanks Brian!

It is easy to get hung up about the state of the country but RTE’s (Irish national TV  broadcaster) Late Late Show on Friday night displayed the entrepreneurial spirit that exists in Ireland today

All is not lost !! Some fantastic products of which at least two made me go on the Internet to look at their web pages and think of buying.  It is programs that inspires me to be inquisitive and to believe that despite the overall state of the nation that there are still many positive aspects in the business sector and in life overall.
