Jump Out of Your Skin

I rang O2 just to see when an Iphone might be available.  The salesperson said there was no stock and waiting list and he thought the next stock would be in house on the 1st of October.  First come first served he said.  Amazing.  What this means is that since its ‘release’ on July 11th shops have only actually received (by my reckoning) one shipment in addition to the initial one.

I chaned the theme today as I thought the previous one was too cluttered. WordPress is handy with that. Drupal does it easy as well but Joomla I still haven’t gotten my teeth into and it is the one I use for www.frmathews.net.

I am going to revisit Drupal soon and play around with it a bit more but like most of the CMS out there the documentation is scrapy.

I downloaded some podcasts today and loaded them up on my phone and they sound OK. I might just put up with the ugly headphones and start listening to the podcasts and some music on it. I found my USB cable for my phone and I am going to spend the rest of the week loading up music and podcasts. Will stuff the headphones in my pocket and see if I actually listen to the stuff.

Carphone Warehouse called me on Aug 11th saying they had a 3G IPhone for me. My initial enthuasism has worn off and I am going to wait a bit to see if there are any more changes and also for when I can pay for it out of my change jar at the end of my bed. Plus a month later is a bit rich.

I am also going to try and use my existing phone and see how much of its features I can use.
