Jump Out of Your Skin

Despite ranking so well for Banana Picking nobody has yet to approach me to open a plantation here in Cork.  It simpy amazes me.  I have the SERPs and the business model all I need now is the right canny investor.

Up to the middle of last year we were regularly awakened about 12-1:30 by the throaty exhausts of local lads showing how loud their  boy racer cars were.  Now they are rarely heard.  my theory is they cant afford the petrol and this is a real sign of the economy.  My wife thinks its our new front door but then she would!

Despite the name of this blog I rarely blog about Grange Heights which is where this Cork Website Design company is based.  Lately the roads in the area have been completely resurfaced which is a long overdue as they were a bit of a death trap.  Well done to all.  Photos to follow.

I was speaking  with my brother last night who is in his thirties and for some reason car insurance popped up as his was up for renewal.  He told me that his insurance hasn’t changed since he left college and he is still being charged a really high rate for his insurance.

Males below the age of 35 are still being loaded for isnurance and the rates are increasing.  I am over 40 and still pay 540 for a 1.6  litre car which compared to people in the UK is crazy.  Irish drivers havea poor record on the roads but I think that in a lot of cases we are an easy target due to the limited xchoixe of brokers.

If you watch UK TV and the multitude of Sky channels you will see insurance after insurance ad for the simple reason that there is huge competition there and they have to compete for multiple niche markets.  Due to our population we cannot hope to do this (look at the state of our private health care market as a recent real example)

Even brokers are tied in many cases so when you think they are working for you often they are only searching through a small subset of options as tghey are commission based and they of course will gravitate to the best  commission even if it doesn’t work out best for you in terms of coverage or price.
