I have a number of areas that I am fascinated by. First is the Internet and all things technical. I can talk about it for hours. I have been writing web pages and been involved directly through work (I was worldwide hosting manager for an e-learning company in the US for several years) or indirectly thought training or Intranet design for over 20 years. I can still remember firing up the first version of Mosaic.
Secondly I am a voracious reader both electronically and hard copy. I am fascinated by self improvement and have read hundreds of books on the topic. My shelves are full of them. I try and implement as many of the techniques as possible in my day to day life and can say honestly I am only a small percentage on the way.
Thirdly I love to run. Running is my drug and how I detox and escape from the pressures of life. I have run hundreds of road races over the years and am in training for my third marathon at the moment. I hope to run two a year for the foreseeable future.
Fourthly (still reading?) I love the Spanish language and I am currently studying for a BA through the Open University. My goal (refer to second passion) is to be fluent in the next couple of years. I am not sure what I will DO with it but it may be part of my life plan (upcoming blog post).
Lastly my family are number one over all the other things above but through them I try to be the best for them. I do not blog about them at all as I do not want them to be part of the blogosphere / internet as that is a separate place.
