Update:

I have developed the Cork Homeopathy site now and hopefully over the coming days as we add useful information to the site it will start to rank for the search terms Cork Homeopathy. Best of luck to Pauline Meade with her business she is a really nice person to work with and I wish her the best of luck with the site.

I have been doing some keyword research for a potential Cork customer who is a homoeopath (watch out for the site I have some great ideas for it).  What was interesting about the whole area of homoeopathy is that there are actually two different spellings for it and that the majority of the search traffic was for the homeopath word and not fro the homoeopath word which is understandable as one is how most people pronounce it.

I learned the following interesting facts about homeopathy and the associated remedies which I will impress my Cork client when I meet her later today.

  • The actual alternative medicine is  actually a heavily diluted preparation which is meant to create symptoms similar to the complaint.
  • The effectiveness of homeopathy has been in dispute but there are many camps and types of opinion on the subject which I cannot debate.
  • Meta-analyses, in which large groups of studies are analysed and conclusions drawn based on the results have shown the benefits of using homeopathy but again questions have appeared about it’s usefulness

I personally do not have a strong opinion abut it but believe that there can be spirited debate  about the subject amongst people.  The whole area of healing and the pros and cons is nearly a book in itself.  I recall a pretty heated debate on the Late Late show a year or so back where different practitioners of alternative and classical medicine (amongst them homoeopaths) all I recall learning from it was that they both had valid points of view but both groups were too close to the subject to have a good debate.
